Went to the SF zoo with a friend. Dunno, pics look very bland. I always feel like my pics need more contrast to make them more interesting.

What do you guys think? I took 100+ pics, but lots are dups.

    Washed out son.

The one of the duck looks cool though, could be a little darker

Yeah. I was messing out with the ISO to snap some indoor pics, and forgot to change it back :wtc:.

hard to take pictures in broad daylight like that. I know it wouldn't be practical but best pictures usually come 30 after sunrise or 30 minutes after sunset.

You mean 30min before sunset right?

The pic seem to be a lot sharper with a boarder around it... or is it just me? :hs:

But if you guys are interested, here's the whole album.

Also, do you think it's worth watermarking the pics? Or am I too much of a noob right now? :o

You think it's from my Quantaray UV filter? It is a generic filter(at a damn high price at Ritz Camera...)

I feel the same way about them being soft though, that's why I feel the urge to up the contrast.

Contrast wont really help you with sharpness, they're different properties in a photo even though they seem the same. What lens are you using?

Tamron 28-75 at 75mm in almost all the pics. I just picked up a Tamron 17-50 and whoa, pics seem to noticeably clearer, but I didn't use it cause it didn't give me the distance I wanted.

What lens were you using? It's hard to take good crisp photos behind glass.

Also shooting at the brightest time of the day is also :(

Also it seems that everything is center focused. Try switching it up a bit...

    Just checking :h5:

I actually told myself this, and it wasn't something I was used to... I did it, and it actually came out nice(duck in water(not exactly off-centered though)). Reason being, there were two ducks, and I didn't want both in the shots so I had to get creative. :noes:

I do appreciate your C&C guys, thanks.
