RIDE veterans Michael Russow and Roman Zentsov will round out the “Yarennoka! New Year’s Eve! 2007” card with a heavyweight showdown Monday at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Officials organizing the event confirmed the bout on the “Yarennoka!” Web site.

Russow (6-1), a 31-year-old submission specialist from Chicago, will enter the match on a three-fight winning streak. He defeated Steve Campbell by second-round tapout at an Xtreme Fighting Organization event earlier this month in Illinois. Russow suffered his only career loss in February, when he submitted to Sergei Kharitonov at PRIDE 33.

Zentsov (16-11), a product of the same Red Devil Sport Club former PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko calls home, lost a unanimous decision to UFC veteran Branden Lee Hinkle under the Bodog Fight banner in July. Still, he has won seven of his last eight fights, including knockout victories over Gilbert Yvel and Pedro Rizzo.
