Finally got that piece of shit
Excellent. I heard it on the radio coming home from PT, now watching it on tv.
gotta wonder how much effect this will really have though. I would imagine someone would be able to fill in the gap so to speak.
Won't change much, probably increase attacks since he's been made a matyr but other than that
This is huge for the bush administration though. It shows the masses that there is work being done and progress is being made. This will change things one of two ways though, if he was a hardcore leader and feared by his men maybe seeing that he was destroyed will have them second guessing their actions or like it was mentioned above some other douche bag will try to take over. I think the second choice is more likely but you never know.
I am just glad to see that such a terrible POS has been brough to justice. Hopefully some of his victims family's can get something from this.
Burn In Hell Zarqawi
More to follow.
Change isn't the big story today. Justice is the big story.
DAMN IT.... i wanted to get him...
hahah!! i was yelling "GOTCHA FUCKERRRR!!!" at 4am.
osama can't run forever...
man, that's the last thing F-16 pilots need to stroke their ego. fucking viper drivers won't be able to walk through a doorway anymore their heads will be so big.
of course i fully support the death of our buddy zarqawi
A month ago, the US military downplayed the importance and potency of Zarqawi as much as they could.
Today, everyone is cheering at how great of a moment this is.
While having him dead is important, I'm not stupid. I don't need members of the Senate and the House give speeches. I don't need pundits on TV argue like rabid dogs.
well yeah, but as a fighter pilot, responding to a CAS call and taking out the #2 terrorist in the world is a pretty damn good bullet for your next performance report
i would expect the pilots would receive distinguised flying crosses, or something almost equivalent
only a million more years till you're out of DEP? I see.
That joke is SOOOOOOOOO two months ago.
al zarqawi's myspace page. lol
that may be true, but maybe not as true...
he was pretty crazy and homicidal, but he also was not dumb.. it takes a lot of influence and brilliance to be able to coordinate all the crap that he did and too be able to evade several different military powers of different countries for several years.. he had like 25 years of experience and finding someone like that who is willing to be in the limelight (more like the gun sights) of the world may be a little harder, at least i would like to think so..
true, many may see him as a martyr but would a true martyr go out of his way to avoid becoming one?
i am just saying is that although the problems are not solved, zarqawi's ass getting raped by 2 500lb laser guided bombs is sort of a big deal and hopefully does have an impact/influence on hurting the al qaeda organization..
i got a question though: what do you guys think of using more airpower on that darn sunni triangle? i say, drop leaflets for everyone to leave in 3 days and then bomb the crap out of it WWII style! hahah
it's dumb but it's just the way the AF works. honestly they were just doing their jobs, probably like you said it was the 325423 time they'd done it, but the AF creams itself when it comes to awards and stuff.
in the beginning of the iraq war, the entire B-1 crew that hit that cafe where they thought saddam was got DFCs, even though saddam wasn't even there. i guess it's because you have less chances to distinguish yourself in the air nowadays (no gigantic dogfights or huge bombing missions, etc), so they take every little opportunity to reward people.
