95% of youtube videos don't work for me. I've tried them in 4 different browsers but its the same thing.

I've followed the youtube help files and uninstalled and reinstalled flash but no dice. It doesn't work. My javascript is enabled.

    So what gives? :hs:

I've scanned for virus and spyware using adaware, spybot, avast and AVG. And cleared them out but it still doesn't work.

    Whats the next step?

    thanks a ton !

the fact that they were there means the damage is probably done.

consider reformatting and not being so careless in the future.

    Go here http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157

Get the Flash activex uninstaller and run it. Follow the directions on the screen, if it asks to reboot, then do so. Go to the adobe website and download the new one.

I've seen it before where the activex player gets broken somehow and then even after uninstalling it and reinstalling it, it's still broken. The activex uninstaller completely removes it and lets you start from scratch.

is this at home or at work? If it's a work thing, they might have the video part of it blocked...

You missed the pun inside the post.

The poster was saying the guy isn't giving enough information.

So he said, "nice details, Scottwax".

    Get it?

Oh, ok. But nope, just a clever C&P poster demonstrating the craft that is so typical of us all.
