i'm having 2 problems that are driving me crazy. i'm on a 09 macbook pro, 4GB of RAM.

    (1) youtube videos - even when fully cached - are jumpy as hell. the video will stop, jump 1-2 seconds ahead, etc. what the hell? there's no reason for this, considering my computer should be able to handle it, and by caching the videos fully, it should take away any bandwidth issues.

    (2) flash videos are often completely unresponsive to clicks when embedded, especially within google reader. i'll click 400 times and literally nothing will happen.occasionally, if i click NEXT TO the play/pause button, it'll register a click on the play/pause button.

i've searched extensively for this and haven't been able find a solution.

    any ideas?

Flash is so buggy... my experience between all the macs (g4 ibook, intel mac mini, mac pro) I use reflect some of the stuff you're going through... clicking multiple times for a video to pause only to have the computer freak out and do a quick pause/play/pause/play/pause/play/pause/play...

i agree it's kinda annoying... 10.1 has seemed to help a little bit...

    I'm having the same problem!!

I know I have an older Mac (iMac 10.4.11 1.25 GHz PowerPC G4 with 1.25 GB DDR SDRAM) but lately I have been having trouble streaming any video - like on youtube, especially, also on Hulu.com - without the video being all jerky and such.

Is there an update or a program I can use to make my video smoother?

10.1 likes to crash for me. Get a message that the plugin crashed from time to time.

I have an 09 17" MBP. Gametrailers.com is pretty much unwatchable for me. YouTube is OK. It's definitely an issue with OSX because my PCs are fine. Unacceptable IMO.

i just upgraded my parents' iMac.

first get the FLASH UNINSTALLER from adobe's site.

then get FLASH 10.1 and install it.

things are working SO much better.

I went onto the message boards and it seems like a lot of people having this problem.

One suggested fix that I have tried that works is to download the browser SeaMonkey by Mozilla - youtube streams perfectly with it.
