Saw it at the fun show this past weekend and really liked the feel and balance. They had an eotech attached to it. I'm still a HUGE AR newb but thought the build quality felt nice and the action was smooth. Little more expensive than what I had in mind but not opposed to spending more for good stuff. Whatchathink?

What happened to its handguard and triggerguard? Do they have downs syndrome?

(this feels wrong, even for internet mean, but I'm going with it)

I wouldn't pay any premium for what I see there. How much does such a creature sell for?

Trigger guard is a winter trigger guard so you can fit a gloved finger. Handguard looks fucked up but what do I know.

other than the weird handguard and triggerguard, what's different about it than any other carbine with a few upgraded parts?

Price was $1100ish. Hand guard they call a half quad free floating, match trigger with winter guard, Magpul CTR stock, chrome lined Wilson 16".

I believe i clearly stated I'm an AR nOOb. Didn't think the trigger guard was a big deal. How it shoots is more important...no?

Triggerguard looks retarded, but that's a cheap fix with a call to Magpul.

I could like the idea of the handguard, but not at that length. The round part does not extend out far enough for where I naturally would put my hand. That would force me into trying to bridge the gap, or hold my hand too far back to get proper leverage.

Decent gun I imagine, but some of the accessories (which is what is driving the price up) look a little funky and ill-thought-out to me. Might be better to see if they just had a plain jane model with the Wilson/Trigger combo, and add the stuff yourself.

for $1,100 i would prefer to build my own or buy a built LMT, Stag, RRA, etc. for an "ar noob" i would recommend buying a more factory-oriented build :dunno:

I got mine for $1200 minus the optic and TLR1 from Legal Transfers on arfcom. RRA midlength A4, Hogue rubber grip, CAA 6-pos stock (later replaced with the CTR), Surefire M85 quad, YHM front flip up sight, ARMS 40L BUIS.

true. really anywhere from 800-1100 will get you quality. you can spend more, but for someone just getting into ARs, i'd just get the basics

do you have any quality pics of the bottom of your rear BUIS? I want to see how many spaces it takes up on the rail as I have a space issue due to my Eotech 553

You shouldn't have an issue since mine's a 553 as well.

yea but I have the KAS FF rail so I think your eotech sits a bit further forward than mine.

Are you able to move your eotech back one slot and still have clearance?
