Went to my local WM to pick up some WWB. Was told by the sporting goods guy that they'd stop selling guns in 3-4 weeks, but will continue selling ammo. I used to work there so I know he's not feeding me BS.

Another guy from xdtalk.com was told the same thing, except only Wal-Marts in the top 20% of sales in the U.S. will continue to sell guns AND ammo.

I know some of you don't shop at Wal-Mart but for those who do, might want to ask the next time you go. If it's true, you may get a good deal on some ammo.

On a good note, my WM now sells 250 rd boxes of 180gr. Remington UMC's for $40.47 which I bought. Also picked me up a new Kershaw to replace my older Kershaw which I've had for 4 years.

How much did the kershaw run you?

Anyone have that $20.00 kershaw at walmart? I'm thinking about picking one up for a female friend of mine.

I'm heading to Walmart later tonight. I'll see if they pulled the rifles there.

it was just on the news that they are trying to go highbrow with highend electronics and furniture and they are trying to phase out the "trailer park persona"

EDIT i would have posted that this morning when i heard it but usually i go to ot to hear the late breaking news so i just figured everyone had already heard

I stopped buying ammo at Wal Mart when Winchester stopped making .22LR Dynapoints :( My 10/22 loved that shit and it was cheap.

That's true. They have doubled the size of the electronics department in some of the Walmarts here. They even have these huge kiosks with MP3 players and stuff now. They just built another Walmart nearby and the walls and floors look different, it's not that cheap white tile anymore.

i was gonna add that too. so no biggy for us. whats sad is the local thrift store, "FLoyd's" (multiple ones in so cal) used to sell handguns, but now they dont! what makes me mad, is that there is so much laws after another, that alot of dealers dont want to put up with all that hassle anymore; its like giving the gun control people what they want. :sadwavey:

i know, sometimes i hate this state.

The only two things to make you hate CA

    being conservative

    being a gun owner

    i am both:wtc:

I think they were refering to firearms, and not the ammo.
