when the ghetto kids at walmart looking at the airsoft guns talk shit behind your back about purchasing ammo...

Went to the walmart in Palo Alto, walk to the sporting goods section, constantly reminding myself that I put up with this shithole because their ammo is cheap. Get to the back and 4-5 kids in their late teens are looking at the airsoft guns, being loud and obnoxious, talking like they're on the set of a rap video. I quietly ask the guy to open the ammo section for me, grab what I need, and as I'm paying, the kids come up behind me saying shit like "man, why you gotta buy all that ammo and go kill people" :ugh::ugh:

Only in this shit hole of a state

There was plenty of WWB 9mm to go around... I only bought 2 boxes...

did buy most of the Federal Champ 22lr though.

Then got into a discussion with the salesman ringing me up about how he had to turn an 18yr old down for purchasing .22lr, because the DOJ won't let them sell them to people under 21, as it's both pistol and rifle ammo. He said it was rediculous, and he even called them to clarify, and they won't let him do it.

    fuck this state

Is that employee sure? Sounds more like a store policy then a legal requirement.

There's a Wallmart in PA? I've been driving all the way to Gilroy. PA must be out of Santa Clara County.

Sounds typical though, there was a bunch of faggots like that at target a few months back.

Around here you have to get an employee to get the ammo out of the glass cabinet for you. We should start a poll on "average time it takes you to get ammo at Walmart"...always takes me at least 10 minutes.

I am glad that walmart has taken steps to make sure just about all of the airsoft guns they sell are clear plastic though.

Finding someone who can work the ammo counter is fun.

Negatory. Last time I was at WalMart... my bag broke and dumped 300 rounds of 9mm on the floor. And I got all kinds of looks/comments including a "Oh, look, Rambo's stocking up."

I make sure they double-bag my ammo... I would have been  if that happened to me. Especially with the stupid comments coming from customers.

The clerks at my local Walmart always double bag. It's finding them that's the chore.

    $18.xx per 100

The store is technically the mountain view store, but it's in Palo Alto I believe. At El Camino and Showers Rd. Close to 280/Page Mill Rd.

Who knows if he's sure or not. He made it sound like it was a recent thing and that he called the DOJ or whomever would make the call to double check, not walmart policy. Who knows... I'm over 21, so it's a moot point to me.

It's one thing when it's the general public, it's another when it's a bunch of wanna be thugs that are playing with the airsoft guns trying to be all hard.

I've had no problem finding someone at the ammo counter both times I've been down there :dunno:

We'll see if I go back there for ammo. It seems cheaper, but when I'm only buying 200 rounds of 9mm, it's almost as cheap to just go to the local Big 5 that's like $22 or something for the WWB by the time I factor in gas for 60 miles(hell, that's like $12 in gas), my time, etc.

I've bought .22LR from Walmart before, and I'm only 18. Must vary from place to place :dunno:

The most ammo I ever bought at a Walmart at one time was 2200 rounds of WWB. It was all they had at the time.
