do you find you feel it more in your outer thigh area or your inner-thigh/abductors?/hamstrings?

When i was just going to parallel or slightly below, i felt it more in my thighs. Now i feel it more in my hamstrings or at the top of my legs, in between my legs.

i think those are abductors. :mamoru:

    Yes.

I do ATG once a week, and I feel it far less in my quads than I do when going just to parallel.

anotehr thing i noticed, after doing atg all the time, it seems unnatural to just go to parallel?

parallel/slightly below parallel feels weird, like i'm not as upright as atg

i have trouble going below parallel. Even with 135 lbs, my ass simply doesn't want to go that low.

    Not for me.

Perhaps because I can't go below parallel with the weight I do on heavy days. ;)

i've always heard that you're knee caps and your toes should stay parallel? whenever i go down further than a 90 degree angle, it always breaks that :(

You can't go ass to grass without your knees going over your toes. If you try to then your lower back will round.

your knees will go infront of your toes a little bit on the way down, but when you sit, they should be ontop or a little behind your toes. and yes, i cant go back to parallel squatting, cuz it feels really weird to do.

Is it a myth that going that far below parallel is terrible for your knees?

i feel it more in my hamstrings, glutes, upper thighs the most. and its less stressful on the knees, as long as you keep your back straight and dont bounce.
