    If i drink a glass of protein shake, then go work out then come back home and drink a glass of choco milk or 2, is that a good balance?

    What exactly do you want balanced about it? Protein shake = source of calories and protein. Chocolate milk = source of calories. :dunno: The milk probably won't do much except add to your calorie intake, which will in turn help you build muscle by:

    a.) giving your body more calories to insure you have a calorie surplus and
    b.) giving you energy to lift.

    But I'm sure most chocolate milk is loaded with sugar. That's not a huge issue if you're bulking, but it might work against you if you're trying to clean bulk. :dunno: I guess what I'm saying is, there are better things out there to eat/drink than chocolate milk.

    Take all this with a grain of salt, I might be completely wrong.

    Hmm, im not lookin for a clean bulk excatly, more like ad ding 90% muscle and 10% fat to speed up the weight and mass. what im saying is, im drinking both as they are the protein supplyment so is it worth doing both or just do protein shake alone? What about carbs? i heard it speeds it up also.

    Post the nutritional information of each. I'm curious how much protein your shakes have. I'm not sure about the ration between carbs/fats/proteins, someone else will have to help you with that.

    that's just not going to happen. your genetics are going to determine the breakdown of fat and muscle as you gain weight more than any other factor. Stop worrying about this little stuff... get enough protein and EFA's, eat a ton, and lift heavy shit. that's all you need to know for now.

    35 lbs dumbells in 10 reps and 3 sets, bench 155 10 reps 3 sets again. so fuck you im serious. well i dont know about pure muscle, maybe im wrong but i definitely gained 14 lbs, and ive noticed alot of changes on my body. again i could be wrong if i gained 12 lbs of PURE muscle.
