    that is a cool demo..
I assume in the time lapse, the pencil shows up more with the lens closed down, and less with it opened up?

I have $100 B+W filters on my kit lense and 50 1.8. I don't want to risk it.

On another note, doesn't having that led flashlight on the side of the camera annoy the fuck out of you? I'd get driven crazy!

I keep them on so it would make it easier to sell the lens when I want to get something different.

Well, here's one reason to have a filter on. My polarizer took the damage. LEft the Canon glass untouched when it dropped on the ground.

yeah i have a rodenstock UV filter on my tokina 11-16. the hood for that lens is laughable, and i find myself bumping shit with the lens since it looks like i'm further back in the view finder.

i need to get a good filter for my 24-70.

i have one b+w on my 70-200  sometimes i switch it out, but i find that the hood on the 24-70 is usually enough to protect it from bumps when im walking around.

i have a garbage filter on my tokina 10-24 that came off my nikon stuff when i sold it
