Yep, I leave for air force basic a week from today. And I'm pumped as hell.
rofl, watch out for that...you should have a great time.
haha yeah, basic will be a walk in the park compared to my tech school.
anyone keeping count of how many has left for basic cept for accord hehe
Good luck to you in your future service.
Does anyone know if my account will be canceled if i don't log in for a couple of months?
mine was ok.
I hope you can pedal a bike fast...
It's the AF, you will probably get internet time on the second day of basic
Good luck as you go through basic. I went Apr 19th 2004 so you will be going through the same time of year I did, and its fuckin HOT.
People laugh about AF basic training but its still extremely stressful on your mind. The physical portion of it really isnt too bad...
how emotionally stressful?
You guys think AF basic is so easy in general. It all depends on the squadron to which you are assigned. I was in the 322nd so I naturally had it easy. The 320th was the worst (I think they called it Alcatraz) and my ex-wife was in the 321st and she said it wasn't easy but it wasn't tough either.
Best of luck to you man. What's your AFSC gonna be?
I know it's gonna be a little bit tougher for me cause I'm not where I want to be physically, I'm not out of shape, but like I said.. I'm just not where I want to be.
I'm gonna be 1n3 - Cryptologic Linguist
Very cool... I worked with y'all when I was stationed at Elmendorf. I was a 3A0 for Intelligence... Information Manager. You have a very interesting career ahead of you and I can guarantee you that it's a lot of work but you will find it worthwhile.
How tough is it?
HAHA That was my squadron, the 320th... I mean I'm not going to lie, Basic training was the most stressed out I have ever been in my life, but when I look back at it, I wouldnt trade the experiences I had and it's fun to laugh about it now
I didnt have a lot of emotional stress except for the fact that we didnt get ANY patio breaks to call home, it was complete bullshit. We could only communicate through snail mail and even then I only managed to get 3 letters out the whole time.
P.S. The reason they called the 320th Alcatraz was because the windows were painted... So you couldnt see outside, it was pretty much like prison.
well the windows were really high up so you still couldnt look out of them without climbing on top of your wall locker lol but like I said, OURS were painted anyways
It sucked not being able to tell if it was light out or dark or what fuckin time it was
Good luck reading those daumn books and trying to stay awake at the same time.
Toothbrush, underwear, debit card, and stick deodorant. That is all you need. Anymore will only get locked up in a closet after four days.
lol i bet he's hating life right about NOW
He might still be in MEPS.
