YAY, new clothes for the 1911! *pics added*

So it looks like I have some new grips for the Kimer Ultra Carry II waiting for me at the house!

I ordered the Kimber Micarta ball grooved thin grips from Midway along with some thin bushings and screws. I'll let you guys see how they fit just as soon as I get home.

Sorry for the lack of pics but I haven't even seen them yet but I just couldn't contain my excitement, I HAD to share.... I promise I'll post some as soon as I get home and fit them!

Oh, and fortunately my GF is visiting so she was there to receive them instead of the box being left outside as others on here.

The 1911 is a blend of form and function only slightly less beautiful than my wife. So :gtfo:

    :fawk:

Edit: sell my 1911 over my dead body. :slap:

I guess that proves a paper bag and the lights off does help.

    I'm kidding.

    it doesn't help at all!

Okay so I just spent $155 at Brownell's; WC beavertail and high-ride ambi safety. Also an $11 cheapo safety to practice the install on before I cut into the $57 WC one. And a set of files. And two Wolff mag springs.

Doesn't look like they'd provide much um... grip... especially if your hands get sweaty. :hs:

But as long as YOU like em... that's the important thing.

Nice wood but I would've preferred them without the logo. :)
