has anyone been able to get yaboot to boot macosx off a firewire drive?
out of curiosity what are you using yaboot for... I haven't touched that since I installed LinuxPPC on a 233MHz iMac, back in 2000/2001
dunno...seems to be what debian and yellowdog use...
no idea what yaboot is. but once in awhile i boot 10.3.9 from my firewire drive. but i used carbon copy cloner to make a full bootable backup.
it's the most friendly "New World" bootloader
IIRC you might actually have to do some OpenFirmware hacking to get the machine to take from a FW disk though. Just a thought, like I said I haven't done this in years. If Linuxppc.com is still around, I found it to be a great resource in general.
Ironically though I used the LinuxPPC info / tools, it was Debian that I ended up installing on the iMac
