First the fucking operating system gets AIDS for no reason and I have to use my time machine backup in less than 30 days of owning my new Mac Pro.

Now my fucking "mighty mouse" does not fucking work. It intermittently began shitting out on me tonight. now it wont pair with the computer. The keyboard does just fine. The mouse, forgettaboutit.

What the fuck is this shit about now. Good thing I have applecare. They will be getting a call from me tomorrow since they are not open tonight.

prefs, bluetooth prefs, click on mouse, options (the gear button), show more info, click on the gear again, add to favorites.

it doesn't completely fix it, but it helps it reconnect easier / faster when it does happen

Sounds like something I can't do without the mouse working at all. I need a solution to the problem. Not sure if it's the computer or the mouse.
Fucking pain in my dick. Sorry - i'm frustrated.

Is this a common thing? If so, is it the mouse that goes awry?

I think it's typical of anything BT, but I don't have any first hand experience with it on my machine or with a wireless mighty mouse.

I'd seriously get rid of it though, it's a horrible mouse.

I'm on my second... I wanted to get a different mouse, but I wanted to stick with bluetooth and it's sadly the best option.

then a week after I got another one, logitech made a new bluetooth mouse

I don't think Apple has made a decent mouse in well over a decade (at least back to before the hockey puck mouse that came with the very first iMacs).

I actually like Microsoft mice, I've got a Wireless Laser Mouse 8000 now and it's bluetooth.

Werd on the MightyMouse. I have a M$ Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth that I bought back in 2005 that I've been using with the Mac bluetooth keyboard on my iMac, and I've had no issues... Just sounds like a bad case of bad hardware... And since everyone else is totally discrediting the MightyMouse, I would hate to think this is an isolated incident?

And PEBKAC, FTMFW. Almost as good as an ID 10 T issue.

On MM#2 from Apple Care now.
For some reason these bluetooth mice don't like to stay connected. My BT keyboard stays connected though. WTF?

Apple tried saying I need to take my tower in, I said no because the keyboard and other BT accessories stay connected just fine. It's the mice that don't work.

This is horse shit. Unless it seriously sucked the life outof my batteries in less than a month.... because I just changed them and now it works.

Wireless mouses need batteries?! WHO KNEW.

Might try that before calling in next time. My logitech blue tooth mouse needs batteries once a month, I use it several hours a day, everyday.

Well, is it normal for this mouse to eat up batteries in less than 1 month?

    Yeah wireless mice eat batteries.

    I suggest some of these:

    http://www.usbcell.com/

They're rechargeable batteries that get their power from being plugged into a USB port. My mouse uses just one battery so I just take the battery out of the mouse and replace it with one plugged into a USB port then plug the dead one into the USB port, so it will be ready next time.

This is pretty ridiculous. My old Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse would only need new batteries once ever 6 months and 12 months.

Yeah they're very handy. I don't give a shit about saving the planet, CO2, toxic waste, whatever they have on their website, but using these is a lot better than having to put the mouse into its recharger and not being able to use the computer until it recharges.
