A&P Xti + Black and white

    is there a way i can shoot b&w right out of the cam? i cant freaken find the option anywhere

    Just shoot in color and go black and white with photoshop. Way more control in how your photo turns out by keeping the color channels intract.

    You can shoot in black and white from the camera. its a setting in parameters I believe. I never shoot B&W from the camera, I always shoot color and convert. Much better results.

    oh i know thats what i do right now, but i want to test out the filters and see what they do so i want to see the diff when i take the pics..

    anyone know exactly where in setting the option for b&w is ?

    Press the centre button between the cross ("SET"), and you'll get the picture styles. It's "monochrome", I think.

    Lightroom > channel mixer?

    I've always been a fan of using the channel mixer. I have lightroom, but haven't tried it out...

    oh yeah. 6 color + luminance/hue/saturation of each, targeted adjustment tool, WB and tint realy adjust the tone, targeted tone adjustment, split toning, and then save as a preset ftw plus before after split screen
