Anybody have expierence with them? If you do what kind of hardware setups do you use them with? How many you have, etc? Trying to get a feel if they are worth it.

I've got a department that's looking into an XServe RAID with an XServe G5 as the head server, with a potential Gigabit link going from the RAID to the desktops via a closed network. I'll let you know how it works out...if they ever get the money to do it. :sad2:

Actually i have an xserve and you can get a fiber chanel card to the xserve raid and then to a workstation if youd like and then run gigabit for the rest from there. Theres several options but its all about budget! It sure is nice having over a TB of space though :big grin:

Oh and yes they are very worth it! They are very powerful, reliable servers with 100% uptime! The only time this thing goes down is when i restart it for updates! Its 100000x better than my exchange/ active directory server thats for sure!
If you have specific questions you can always PM or aim me.
    Hope this helps!
