I have an XPS M1530 with the 9 cell battery and it has like this extra plastic piece that props the back of the laptop up so it almost sits like a drag car. The piece seems like it's just hollow plastic. Is there any way to remove it?

    ok... :ugh:

Do you have a pic of the battery? I have an M1210 and don't have anything like that. I'd be curious to see what it looks like...

You DO know that foot is there to let the laptop dissipate heat properly, right? You're not supposed to be able to remove it.

Isn't the extra bit there because the 9-cell battery is meant to protrude? Or are we talking about something that's on the protruding battery itself?
