what is the error message? if it's a bad username/password try running the Trinity Resource Kit and do a password recovery on the admin account.

Boot Trinity CD into linux console. run the command "winpass"

Does it try to login and then it immediately logs off again? If so, you need to track down a copy of the file USERINIT.EXE on a healthy computer, copy it to a USB drive, then boot from the Windows install disc and choose the option to use the Repair Console. Copy the USERINIT.EXE file from the USB drive to the folder C:\Windows\system32, then reboot. That should fix it.

:hsugh: Or just expand the file from the cd already being used.

I tried that, it kept failing. It was easier to get a pre-expanded copy from a functioning machine.
