xp display question...

    a few days ago my computer crashed and ever since, i can not change the display from windows classic to the xp mode... does anyone know why the option doesn't even show up on the drop down menu?

    is the theme support service running? that's all I can think of

    run services.msc to find out

    i restarted the "theme" thing and still nothing :hs: but thanks

    Make sure you've rebooted after loading the theme service

    i tried system restore and that did nothing as well :hs:

    have you tried reinstalling/updating your drivers?

    it's a real long shot but you never know :dunno:

    i'm assuming you mean drivers for my video card... if so, i installed it after i did system restore...

    hm try running msconfig, go to Services and verify if "Themes" is checked or not
    if not, then you know what to do. reboot after that if so

    hmm long shot but try going to System Properties > Advanced tab under Performance goto Settings. Scroll to the bottom of visual effects and check "use visual styles on windows and buttons"
