not drool over, but it just seems that things are finally starting to come out universal and working in a windows world this seems like a perfect solution.

Saw the news this morning and this evening I bought myself a 20'' iMac. Can't wait until they figure out how to boot Windows off an external drive :eek5:

I really dont know why people buy a Mac to put windows on. Seems like defeating the purpose...

Use OS X for 99.9% of your work, because OS X is just that much better. Use Windows for the 0.1% of work you need it for and for all your gaming needs. One laptop to control them all (sorry for the LOTR reference).

Exactly!!! Once they get the video drivers going, I'll be doing this so I can play some MS Flight Sim :eek5: and maybe some other games too.

It probably doesn't boot up/run well without some serious tweaks and nerd skills. I think easily dual-booting windows and osx on a mac for the rest of us, non-uber geeks, is still at least a few years away.

theres a video at http://features.uneasysilence.com/mactel/ which is pretty helpful from what i've seen. I haven't tried it out but the video seems rather straight forward. A few parts you may need to refer to the instruction cuz the video isn't that clear. Let me know how it goes if you try it out.

One of the guys at my work is considering doing this, if he goes ahead with this I will try and get some footage and will get him to make a small writeup. Going to have to talk him into it :big grin:
