I'm looking for an OSS program, written in C or C++, that can parse XML files into a printable format. I have some XML files generated by Inxight that I'd like to be able to print. So far I've found 'Expat' on sf but I haven't gone through the docs or the code yet. Any help would be appreciated!

Yep - it's a markup language like HTML.

Right... which is why I don't understand what you want the printout to look like...

Inxight is used to produce hierarchal relationship structures. They're represented with XML. I'd want a representation in a more user-friendly format, like a tree diagram or a directory-structure style diagram (sort of like the collapsable list of directories and drives in a file explorer window - I don't know the proper term).

I found a bunch of parsers last night that look promising - namely libxml2 (in C or with the libxml++ wrapper) and expat. We'll see what happens.
