    .what antenna is that? also why not install the lcd display in the litle pocket onthe dash?

    Antenna Specialists Constellation XM20. I plan on moving it there soon. Need to rig up some kind of back plate so it doesnt fall off when i push the buttons.

    Yeah gonna do that also when i hardwire the radar detector.

    because i didnt want to stick it on the paint and it looks like crap.

    I put mine inside for that reason as well. I also plan to get my car repainted soon, so I didnt want to risk damaging it trying to remove it at that time. After I get the car painted, I may get a low profile antenna (like that XM20) painted to match and mount it on the trunk.

    My Sony antenna came with a invisible/clear plastic film that you put down first then put the antenna over it. You will get drop outs sometimes from keeping the antenna on the inside but you should be fine. When the antenna is on the roof the roof acts as a ground plane which means greater reception. I urge you to upgrade to a Pioneer XM ready head unit for better sound quality. I had that fm mod one and I got sick of it. I had to put it in a place where you can see the screen because I couldn't see it at an angle.
