So after sending in my 2nd(!) 7900GT that has gone bad back to XFX this is what they come up with...

This is unbelievable. The 8600GTS performs worse than my 7900GT and they want 150$ to upgrade to an 8800GTS??? Also it says in their RMA page that I signed that if the current card was not in stock that they would send me a replacement with equal or better performance. What do I do? This is what I have written so far:

Any more ideas what I should write?

that looks like a good reply to me, just point out the facts that the card they want to send you isn't as fast as the one you sent in. I'd imagine that the person processing the RMA's has some leeway in what they replace it with.

Not XFX, but previously when I've RMA'd products multiple times (IBM deathstar hard drive), if there's a note along with it stating that you're trying to be a loyal customer, most of the time they will do what they can for you.

I hope so. Plus they are trying to stick me with an inferior card.

Using the word 'screw' isn't very professional. You should of kept it as clean as possible.

Mabye. But then again I bet they deal with much worse language from people on a daily basis.

I wouldn't have used the words "stock" makes it sound like you were overclocking your video cards which is why they have to keep replacing them.

I said stock because XFX's 7900GTs came factory overclocked.

I guess it will be OK. I don't really know what else to do. I just want something and throw away this useless fucking 7300LE that I am currently using.

I currently have the 8600GT atm. I like it. I was running a x800pro and it's a leap better, and I'd think the gts is a little bit faster. Why not just get that and oc it.
