I wont have the change to handle either of them.
Both are new
XD is 500
used glock 19
I like the M&P - never tried the compact though. The adjustable backstrap is a pretty nice feature too.
If I had to pick between the two I'd say the S&W just because you can actually buy parts for them. Last I heard Springfield was of the opinion that if something breaks or needs to be replaced you have to send them the whole damn gun. I heard that is supposed to be changing but afaik its never happened.
I have a full size M&P9, it is quite nice. I shot an XD 40 a while back, and it was nice, but I like the way the grip is designed better on the M&P.
I asked about it. The owner says none of his suppliers can get the p99c.
Between those two I'd say the M&P.. that is if you can find a compact one.
I said fuck it an bought a Walther p22 instead. I desided to go to a cheaper gun for plinking. $310 new, which was $50 cheaper than any other place in Fresno.
cdnn had them in the last catolog i think.
M&P and my store out here has the compacts in stock now and they're under $500...
My full size arrives tomorrow
