I'm guessing he didn't bother to produce documents of these well documented cases?

How reliable are the grip safeties?? I mean, will the gun fail to fire if you don't have it gripped just right??

Personally, I like the fact that when you pull the trigger on a loaded glock, it is going to go boom. No thumb/grip/button/etc safeties to forget to turn off.

I would say that only time when an XD is safer than glock is when you holster your gun. You put your thumb in the beaver tail area which will disengage the thumb safety. I've practiced holstering my gun like that, I do it with my kel tec too even if it doesn't offer any benefit for that particular gun.

If you are holding the gun in even close to the correct manner, the gun will shoot.

I'm a huge SA advocate but will be the first to admit both sides have their idiots.

I think it depends on how your hand fits the gun. Personally never had a problem of disengaging my XD's grip safety.

All of his documented cases were where people had gripped the gun and pulled the trigger

and the grip safety you can have a pretty half ass grip and you can still pull the trigger

Fuck grip safeties, my next 1911 will have it either pinned, or maybe just use the Novak "Answer" instead.

having a proper full firing grip on the gun when holstering will have the same issues in an xd. what's he doing to do, push it in the holster with his fingers? :hsugh:

I disengage my grip safety on my pistols when the sport allows. I place such a high grip on my gun that it will not engage the grip safety sometimes. If you don't get by the slide every once in a while, your not gripping your gun high enough.

As for the XD being safer than the Glock because of it. What a load of BS.

Tell that faggot that if he needs to rely on a mechanical safety to avoid a negligent discharge then he should give up on firearms altogether.

Pretty much what I told him, I was like if you cant stop yourself from pulling the trigger on a loaded gun maybe you shouldnt own guns in the first place

VW guys are always saying their cars are just as good as BMW's or Audi's too.
