    i've shot the XD9 but the closest i've come to the G26 was the G27 (.40) so i can't really compare. :sad2:

The XD9 Compact is closer in size to the G26. The XD9 is more comparable to the G19. (the "mid-sized" Glock 9mm)

i like the grip angle and lower bore axis of the Glock, but the XD has a sweet trigger.

I love my Glock 26 and have not met too many people that don't love Glocks smallest pistol, but I have never fired an XD. Give them both a try and see which one feels better to you.

the XD's have a pretty poor finish, i have seen several cases of rust just from being stored in a safe(unfired), but other than that they are good pistols. i wouldnt trade my 26 for one though :bigthumb:

the BIG advantage of the xd9 4" model over the G19 is the full length grip on the xd .. with the g19 my pinky can't fit securely on the grip without a grip extension, where as the fullsized grip of the xd if very comfrotable

yep, thats the only thing i can complain about on the XDs. i've only seen it happen when its stored in a moist place or if the person carrying it sweats a lot. springfield will refinish it for you but it will take about 8 weeks. the best way is to protect the finish in the first place by applying some militec.
