Here is my situation.... I have 3 Xbox's, one in the living room, one in the theater room, one in my office. How can I play on my live account without having to recover my gamertag EVERY TIME! Does microsoft think most homes only have one xbox? Sometimes I need to play in different rooms because my GF may be using one or the other room.

stick your account on a memory stick. carry that from room to room.

I'll either buy new boxes or fix em so that doesn't solve my problem.

more details... how can I have my live account on a memory stick?

or you can just move your HDD from box to box and just signin/use the same GT on each box

thats what im doing now... but the issue is my GF plays tiger woods and her shit on saved on the one in the living room so its kind of a pain. I wish there was a way to link your boxes together or set it up so you can save your profiles on each box... kinda like you can with different computers. Then when you login it will download your latest profile achievements and shit.

get a 512mb memory card (the one made for the 360. i dont know if the 256mb is big enough. might be). move your profile to the memory card. insert into whichever 360 you want to play on.

Thanks I had no idea you could do that... so when you unlock achievements and shit it will save to the mem stick instead of the HD? Or do I have to move it everytime so it will stay updated?

it'll save to the mem card. when you use a stick, your entire profile gets moved there and no longer exists in the HDD, but as long as youre connected to xbl, your profile in MS' servers will stay updated.

for your situation, you'd want to keep your profile in the card and take it with you when using different consoles. it's not necessary to move it back into a HDD unless you plan on sticking to only one console. you might want to copy your game saves into the card as well to avoid less confusion.

(my bro uses a mem card and thats how he described it to me.)

^^ thats correct. as for your achievements, they get updated everytime you sign on to live so whenever you unlock an achievement and you are online, it will get updated regardless of what console you unlocked it on

    :hsugh:

Yeah I'm sure they do think that, and it's because MOST do

I think you're on your way to a solution...

If you keep going into another room to play xbox because your girlfriend is in a room with a different xbox either playing or watching a show. Eventually she'll bail. Then you can play in whatever room you want to play in!

You have a serious problem if you have to play Xbox SO BAD that you need 3 of them just in case one room is occupied....that's sad....

Do you only have one tv in your house? One computer? There are a few reasons why I have 3..... and its nice to see you made assumptions about my life even though you dont have a clue as to who I am. Sometimes I like to play xbox in the theater room when friends are over hanging out. Or sometimes I like to play in the upstairs living room. I just want to be able to play where ever, when ever I want too. I didn't think it was a big deal. And if im bored at work whats wrong with playing a little xbox?

Shes makes lunch, dinner, does the laundry, cleans, takes care of my dogs, and still has time to whoop me in Tiger. Plus on poker nights she doesn't care if Im out all night and doesn't give a shit that I hang out with strippers all night when im not playing poker. What more could I ask for!

i have 3 in my house.

2 for me, 1 my stepson uses.

one is in the living room, one is in the computer room (stepsons) and 1 is down in my basement. Sometimes each of us wants to do our own thing, so having multiple helps, i just carry my hard drive from room to room
