worst chop ever
the next XBOX looks like a generic DVD player?
xbox > ps2
So all new XBox games will be 1 player?
so what's the point of having one wired controller port?
sorry, meant to say...
Not that I'm doubting what you say, just that I doubt MS would actually release anything decent for a decent price.
That's fucking awesome! I'm going to camping out at the stores to get two!
And can one IR port pick up multiple signals at the same time?
Xbox360 is gonna own.
I still dont buy that its an IR port.
Its the EXACT same size and shape as a XBox controler port.
IMHO, its a legacy controler port device. And also a controler port for a wired periphreal like a light gun, steering wheel, etc.
I just cant imagine that MS would be stupid enough to use somthing like IR for their controlers, requiring line of sight gaming. When i lounge out on my couch to play games, the controler is usually pointing no where near my TV.
I think MS will use bluetooth, or a bluetooth type wireless system for the controlers.
I also dont believe the hard drives go in through the slot and "plug in" to the console.
I believe the drive are 2.25 inch laptop form factor drives, that will set located in their own case, and will click into the side of the console onto a mounting bracket with a propritary connector. Similar to say, how a cell phone battery is attatched to the back of most cell phones (inparticular, LG uses this method of battery attatchment)
I think the button in front of the HDD area is the module eject button for the HDD case, so it pops up, and then get pulled out from a "hinge" tab in teh back. ANd will run off of somthing like a USB 2.0 interface. And i think the USB interface is going to be used so that the option of a seperate expansion module could come into play. Like a wireless router, or a DVR module, and aloow for the quick change of HDD's for specific games, music, DVR duties. etc.
I can make some simple MS pain diagrams if no one gets what im saying about the drive.
I don't get your point...
There are no sockets on the front to plug devices into.
What you see IS infact an infra-red port, probably just for the DVD remote.
But NOT for the wireless controllers, which do use some kind of radio technology similar to bluetooth.
BEST chop evar!
Look at the concave curve on the new one, looks like it will match up to sit pefectly on top of the convex curve of the original.
though i doubt these are actual pics
