Hey guy, looking if anyone knows of a specific NAS device (1TB) that will work with the Xbox 360. I would like to not even have a computer on while the NAS streams videos. Any help is appreciated. Also any other suggestions for streams media from a network device would be great, only want to spend ~$250. Thanks

you are going to run into two problems here.

    1) You can have a directly connected device (USB Harddrive) and play videos off that, but it has to be FAT32.

    2) you have to have WMP or Tiversity (maybe a few other options) running on your "NAS" to stream to your 360.

There are a few NAS devices that have the correct UPnP profile to stream to the Xbox 360, but the only ones I know of are going to cost more than $250.

Personally I would find an old computer, toss in a 1TB HDD, get quiet fans and a new heatsink, then install FreeNAS.
