    they would not *release* leopard to the public at wwdc simply because wwdc is to educate developers so they have some amount of time to transition their apps *BEFORE* the sky is falling

    Spring is still the release timeframe, and July would be considered summer ;) A lot of developers have been working on Leopard for a while now, so it's not like it's all new to them.

    i'm guessing they will give a date for leopard before the actual release date, kidna like microsoft did with vista.

    :dunno: i wouldn't put it past them to wait until june 21 or whatever the technical date of end-of-spring is...but yea, you're right in that there isn't a lot of wiggle room

    yeah, time machine will give a lot of people the false impression that they are properly backing up
    wtf are they going to do when the system drive crashes?

    ...been wondering this myself. It's Apple offers the false pretense that it's "backup for everyone". It's hardly backup. It's more like change control...
