my labtop has been running like shit lately. I checked what processes are running. And as you can see, there are multiple svchosts going. is this normal? one constantly uses 60-98% of my cpu usage and always around 100mb of memory. is this normal, wtf is going on?

usually my svchost hogs up my cpu for the first minute or so after booting, then it settles down

Download and run the latest updates, it's more than likely the issue with the updating service.

That's probably it. There was an issue about a month or 2 ago where that was happening, and it was the windows/microsoft update service that was choking the system.

    .

Afterwards, let automatic updates find and install any updates it can, then reboot and run a FULL scan for optional hardware and software updates via update.microsoft.com. Install whichever ones seem appropriate.
