i just got this brand new power supply. at first when i got it. it worked fine. didn't make any wierd noises or anything. after about a week it started making this fucking annoying screeching sound. it makes this sound whenever i open a program or a game or browse the web or anything. it's fucking wierd. it also makes the sound when i move the mouse wheel up or down. it's fucking wierd as fuck lol. why is it making this sound?

It is cap or transister. Take the power supply back and explain. Some people are able to hear high pitched noises . It just happens.

well it's probably caused by a bad ground, or some back-emf from the mobo.

Y'know, after two and a half years with my current power supply, mine has started to make a high-pitched whistle when I turn it on, too.
