Your stomach acid was in limbo when you were lying down, When you got up, the high acid in the stomach triggered acid reflux

    heart burn/acid reflux

I get this once in a while... Usually wake up in the middle of the night with it, if I ate REALLY bad that day with spicy, greasy, and heavy foods. You didn't eat anything though, so likely you had excess stomach acid from not eating and while laying down it just kinda creeped its way up.

My dad has acid reflux disease and he says alkaseltzer works wonders.

I've noticed the more I'm stuffing myself the more I get this feeling. I was told it was probably acid reflux, but it doesn't happen but once a week or so.

    Tapeworm finally trying to escape?

Ever heard of the old wives' tale or remedy that if you do have tapeworm...and you fast for a day and put milk near your lips... tapeworm will come out of your mouth?

I used to suffer from hart burn every night until I started working out and eating better. Basicly my doctor told me that my body was trying to create more acid in my tummy to burn the excess food. Witch is normal but when you have not eaten all night and wake up with hartburn there is somthing really wrong with you. The acid bruns your throat and everything inbetween and it can be harmful over time.
