WTF iphoto taking up so much space(not copying files) any alternative?

    what the fuck, the thumbnails and shit are taking as much space as my pictures, what the hell is up with that. I'm not copying the pictures either.

    any alternatives to iphoto out there? looking for something like picassa or a photo explorer/organizer

    yeah, just use finder and organize your shit in folders :ugh: i don't see the need for iPhoto, at all.

    well, I just want something that will allow me to see my pictures in thumbnails, can't find any way to do that in osx so far

    uhm... if you go to view options for finder, and look towards the bottom, check the box that says something along the lines of "show icon preview" and you have thumbnails in finder.

    thanks, first time using a mac, got the macbook yesterday so still need lots of learning.

    iphoto is meant to be used like itunes. it keeps and maintains a directory for you without having to micromanage thousands of files. iphoto > *
