Its actually common practice in judo if you get thrown to curl up like that, although usually the feet are on the ground though. That way you don't land on your back and they wont get Ippon.

Because the Blackbelt chick kept moving once it hit the ground they weren't stood up, but any non-retarded ref could see she was in trouble and he should have stopped it.

In bjj if u lay like that for a long time you gonna get caught with something

In judo if you can lie there for about 3-5 seconds without them advancing there position, you get stood back up.

so thats probably it im guessing

I guess thats a risk you take being a combat competitor, your life can hang in the skills of the ref.

In judo alot of the refs are simply ignorant of submissions - to the point where they don't even recognise what some of them are actually doing. I've seen refs just watch while someone gets their arm broken simply because the guy having his arm broken didn't know how to tap :ugh:. It's fucked up.

That guy obviously has no conception that a reverse triangle can actually double for a choke aswell.

I'm sorry, but are you retarded? That submission is one of THE MOST commonest submissions in Judo comps, next to armbars and is therefore WELL UNDERSTOOD by the refs. That ref in that video was not a good ref, but thats not representative of all judo refs. Most if not all judo refs are infact proper judo black belts with good understanding of chokes and submissions.

Now stop posting retarded shit about a sport that you have no idea about.

And how many judo competitions have you competed in?

That is not a submission to most refs. It's a pin which results from a turnover. Alot of refs don't realise that is a submission.

And by the video it is blatantly clear that the ref doesn't understand the choke aspect of the move. Not all judo blackbelts are good on the ground, or have a comprehensive understanding of submissions. There are huge variances in the level of understanding between them.

I've seen this sort of shit with my own eyes. People getting their arms broken while the ref just stands there and watches.

I have been competing in on and off judo since i was 16 i am 21 now.

Yes this is a pin that most refs realize that doubles as a submission

Yes there is a gap in what judo players know on the ground, but i would go as far to say that all blackbelts know this choke.

The ref was shit, thats something we can both agree on.

If you see arms get broken and the person doesn't tap out (which i find pretty hard to beleive) and they still get there arm broken you train at a shit school/location

How is his school shit if refs at a competition he's been to or seen? I've seen it happen before and there are some awesome schools/refs around here(BJJ comps). From the angle the ref would have seen it, it would have looked like a pin. I mean that ugly bitch deserved it.

Normally judo is such a common practised art that you only really compete in your local region, unless you go onto state/national teams.

I have never seen nor heard anything of what he has described at all, and would really question any area that you have heard or even seen of such a thing occurring.
