How come gifs suck balls so bad? They load slow, and even after they've loaded they don't run worth shit.

Is it a safari problem? (I haven't tried any other browsers yet) Is it an OSX issue? Is there anything I can do to make it better?

And yes, I realize I am once again opening myself up to Mac Shack noob bashing. lol

Thank god it's the internets, I hate looking this stupid in the real world. :)

I had the same thing. Firefox displays them much better, but it has it's own problems too.

I used to have problems with reeeeeally slow animated gifs on web pages, I think I was using Safari at the time, running on Tiger.

Since then I started using Opera and it works great for me.

gifs take a while to load because they have to load each frame but once they're loaded, they display properly for me. :dunno:
