WTF fat gain??

    Y'all, I need some help. This time last week, I was on my way down below 158 towards 150 to get ready for a fight in April, when I did poorly on some school shit and got stressed out. Luckily, I only own healthy foods, but I did binge a lot on things such as bananas, hummus and diet coke. I had full upper-4 abdominal definition, but as of right now, it looks like I put on 10 lbs of fat directly on my stomach in the last week. Is this water weight, or actual fat? I also got a cold on around tuesday when I noticed the definition was fading fast as fuck, so I'm just tryin to see wtf is goin on. Haven't been doin bag work either cause of this damn cold, but it took me a year to get from 250 down to ~150, and I sure as hell am not gonna gain anything back. How is this possible?     the cold is softening you out, and the lack of definition is bloat. tighten up your carb intake over the next week (try not to eat any for the first 4 and last 4 hours of the day), monitor your sodium intake, and get healthy.

    I should have put get healthy first, actually. its sickness and bloat. get rid of them both and you'll be fine. it aint fat.

    most likely water weight

    illness can affect water balance (its generally an inflammatory process).

    loading up on fruit can make you bloated (since high fructose impairs insulin sensitivity), especially with lots of other carbs.

    sweetners can have affect as well, though that is less well explored.

    Sodium intake?

    Dude if I eat subway for a couple of days in a week I gain like 6lbs of water weight and get all poofy from all the sodium and resulting water retention.

    I got real sick and I looked flat and flabby as hell. Once I got back to the gym and lifted a few times my muscles filled out again.

    i can't eat to many bananas, they gives me gas. Also i'm afraid of phallic foods.
