I've always respected Adobe's design sense with their applications, even major interface overhauls have always felt right within a couple of hours of use... But this monstrosity is completely hideous. The icons are poorly made, they stand out like a sore thumb, they're not balanced and they're a spectacular example of unoptimized space. LOOK AT ALL THAT SIDEBAR IT'S USING! LOOK!

I would have much prefered a Lightroom style "barred dropdown" with a scroll bar and text instead of ugly ass, space wasting icons.

IT'S LIKE THEY'RE BORROWING FROM THE GIMP TEAMS DESIGN STYLE.

I dont know why anyone changed to CS4 aside from just the ability to say "Ohey...Im using CS4".

Ill stick with CS3 until theres something I need to do and cant with it.
And to be even more honest, Ill just stick with LR now that I like it.

Maybe the solution is to simply buy a larger monitor?

It's meh, the demo video works A LOT better than it does in practice, people are made fat a lot more often than they should be.

You just wanted us to know you've got CS4 already, didn't you?

I have a legit copy of the master collection sitting on my desk right now.

Not sure if i'm going to install it yet....

    1. the photo labs won't be upgraded for at least a couple of months

    and

    2. I'm not sure i'm committed to re-learning PS already...

So i'm prolly gonna stick to cs3 until someone gives me a good reason to upgrade...

yeah I also hate that they changed shrotcut keys.

I used to CTRL+L to bring up levels box and then CTRL 1,2, or 3 to change between red, blue and green. And now they are like 3,4,and 5. I do not like this.

And when I import divx into Premier Pro CS4 it shows up at an appropriate length but the video only shows up for 10% (condensed into 10% by dropping frames)

HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO MAKE PORN GIFS NOW?

I have ZERO reason to switch to CS4, I will be sticking with CS3 for a while.

I really think I am going to go back to CS3. Yeah I can not make use of all the RAM in my machine but as ti is now, I can not use no plugins with the 64bit version.

I also don't like that Premier Pro's encoding system is now a separate application snapin, if you want to give me the encoding functionality as a separate app, fine, but leave the built in functionality alone... I also don't like how rigidly it wants to export your files by default. If I'm using a nonstandard resolution like 512x384 it automatically wants to try to make it 720p for some reason, unlike CS3 where it would just change the default export to the same size and framerate as your source file.

    :ugh:

I'm sick and fucking tired of having to bring up navigator every time I want to use it (which is 90% of the time).
