so i went to a local pawn shop that was selling used guns 25% off to get a 10/22. they did the background check and it came up with a 3 day wait, but the guy said they may call back today.

would this have anything to do with my arrest for a felony reckless endangerment in april 2006? after the 11-29 expired i filled out the paperwork to have it expunged (back in april of this year).

on a side note, the gun is this

and comes with high mount scope rings and some bushnell scope. obviously its used and you can tell by some nicks but nothing big on the wood.

its $144 out the door (gun and taxes)

do you think its worth getting? i've got until tuesday to change my mind

10/22s are great guns. they have unlimited potential for upgrades.

do you know if the paperwork to get your charges expunged went through?

    p.s. 3 days > 10 days :sad2:

when i filled everything out the court clerk said it would take 3-4 months at most. i was assuming it would have been done by now but maybe it hasnt made its way to the federal govt yet. it had to go from city to county to state

you could sell the wood stock on gun broker, and $144 is a great price. I got mine used for $175.

i would put a call into the clerk (or whoever took care of it) to see if theres any update on progress.

That gun was about the only decently priced firearm in the whole building.

    AK-47 for $450. :ugh:

Czech Makarovs for $295 :ugh: :ugh:

Oh.. and the kicker.. a P-22 WITH A COMPENSATOR.. I forgot the price because I couldn't get over the compensator on a P-22, of all things..

then mine should be fine. not a single thing on the application applied to me, even if i had been convicted of a felony. the only questions on the application asked if i have ever been convicted or under litigation for a felony to which i could have been sentenced to over 1 year in prision

I've gotten a delay before. Legally, if they don't give a yes or no after 3 days, you can pick up the firearm from the dealer in Oregon anyway. Ended up being a 3 day delay. it just sucks going down the the shop right after they call you telling it's arrived and then having to go home empty handed.

So I'm still confused, is this waiting period state law or just store policy?
