I've been in a few firing ranges that sell glocks but the prices are like $80-$150 more than glockworld.com's prices and what's worse, they are backordered.

Socal crew! Can you recommend where I can buy the gun at high $400's? The cheapest i've seen is $549.99. :ugh:

    new ftw :)

It's not that I can't afford it, I don't want to pay the asking price if I know there's a better price out there.

It is very difficult to get certain model glocks in So Cal right now. There is going to be a mark up and it's been this way since the election.

I would suggest you bite the bullet and pay the asking price from your local shop. Support the local economy and keep your local gun store in business. It is very very difficult to be in the gun industry in CA. I know because this is what I do.

If you order on the net and have it shipped in you still have to pay transfer and shipping. Plus you have to wait.

If you get it locally the extra $50 or whatever is well spent. You can inspect the item before you commited to buy, and you get it sooner. I gladly pay up to $100 to get a gun locally. I have seen way to many good gun shops close in CA over the last 15 or so years.

We have a office in Santa monica, and a warehouse/machine shop in ventura. At this time we are not selling guns but we will sell some guns in 2009. We mostly do manufacturing of high end aftermarket glock parts. We will have our manufacturing ffl hopefully before the end of the year to begin work on our secret project.

As far as shops I highly recommend Ammo Bros in Cerritos (so cal.) www.ammobros.com They carry our products and we have a custom gun on display there. Our website is www.glockworx.com
