Looking to spend aboot 500-550 for a 40D depending on what comes with it or 300-350 for a 30D body. I know I'm being cheap, but I dont think I'm being unreasonable. Anybody looking to upgrade to a 7D want to unload your old body on me :naughty:?

I have a 50D with 28-135mm IS lens. I am guessing it has less than 1K clicks. For $1000

Bunch of gripped 40D's for $600 on local craigslist.

I would not even bother with 30/20D's.

not seeing many of those deals in my neck of the woods and when i do theyvare usually gone before i see them. i might have been interested in your 50D but i found a great deal on a road bike for my wife tonight so i might start leaning more towards a 30D and using the saved cash to put towards more glass an grabbing a 40D when i get my tax return.

fuck all this typing with a stylus...

I'd really go for a 40D over a 30D. The AF was a pretty big step up between the two.

Unless AI servo focus isn't that important to you.

i would rather go with a 40D also. it's mainly about money for me right now. i was planning on a 40d until i my wife found the bike she wanted for half off, so now my camera fund is 500 bucks short...

    You won't get a 30D for $300 it's still a very capable body.

I've already found a few for under $400 with glass or a grip. I'm still holding off for a 40D for now.

The 40D doesn't take pictures any better. Just go with the 30D. My good friend had a 40D when I had a 30D and we used to go on shoots together all the time. There was pretty much no discernible difference in end-product quality.

Though image quality didn't take a huge leap build quality took a nice one. Better auto focus, better at high iso, bigger screen and live view are a few of the reasons I'd rather grab a 40D right now. If I end up not finding one in my price range I'll look more seriously at the 30D's.

So I was getting ready to pick up a 40D kit from a member of another board and the dude left his camera bag in his truck and everything was stolen FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. So know I am still looking. You can ignore the 30D part of my first post unless you have a smoking good deal. If anybody is looking to get rid of your 40d I'm looking to buy very very soon, so let me know!
