Is this possible in versions prior to 10.3? I've read and experienced an inability to write (but I can read) to NTFS disks using 10.3 and beyond. I don't have a computer with 10.2 to test this with.

According to Wiki, I think it's because NTFS is a Microsoft tradesecret?

No it isn't possible in any version. The driver Apple has just doesn't support it. There are no tradesecrets :hs:

 sure it is, microsoft hasn't told anyone how to write to NTFS... at best some linux distros have very experimental write capability for NTFS, definitely not stable though :hsugh:

:hsugh: There is plenty of documentation on NTFS through MSDN. Most of it comes in the form of their filesystem DDK which is very expensive (and is on top of the normal cost of an MSDN subscription).

MS won't license NTFS to anyone else in a way that lets them successfully emulate their filesystem support on a non-windows machine.
