follow the link, it will take you to a search page based on your zip code or address. when you search it will pull up a web form that automatically has your representatives listed and will allow you to email all of them at the same time.

I agree on voting no on 45, but with no current cosponsors at the time, I doubt highly that it will pass even if put to a vote, still letting your reps know to vote no is a good idea.

Likewise I agree yes of 17, it is a simple reaffirmation of our rights.

However as much as I am a pro-second amendment individual and would love to see universal reciprocity among carry states, I cannot support this bill. Under the 10th amendment
I just cannot bring my firearms viewpoints and wishes in line with the fact that the bill would stand as a violation of the 10th amendment.

Even if HR 45 has NO CHANCE of passing, letting your elected representative know where you stand now, can help you in the future when less extreme gun restriction bills come up. I live in a primarily republican area, with a democrat as our congressman. Hopefully he would be more inclined to listen to moderate non-partisans like myself who help keep him in office.

    Done.

Though, when typing in my zip code, it only brought up 1 of the 18 representatives for Ohio. I would assume that's the rep for my district, correct? And subsequently, the only one I can really affect via voting?

I've been out of .gov glass for several years now and I'm a bit rusty on the whole thing.

Wrote when the bill first was introduced. Actually received a letter back from my Rep (Sensenbrenner :hs: ) that was hand signed. In a nutshell, he thanked me for writing, said he'd never pass such patently unconstitutional garbage, and to continue writing him if I had any other comments/concerns/etc. :coold:

I still haven't forgiven him for introducing and ultimately passing REAL ID and haven't voted for him since, but I might as well keep telling him my position on things. I've actually written to him several times on various things, and he does always respond. Typically within 2 weeks or so.

Correct. You can also write to your senators, though.
