wrist pain while doing upright rows

    am I the only one who has this problem? any suggestions for a substitute? :o

    Have you tried doing them on a cable machine with a curved bar?

    I've done cable rows, but never with a curved bar. maybe I'll try that next time :cool:

    you might be grabbing the bar too narrow cause your wrists to be at an uncomfortable angle.

    I wouldn't suggest upright rows to anyone, but using db's is better.

    I know they are contra-indicated but I FREAKIN LOVE THEM...its the only thing I do for my traps, besides deads. I use dbs or a rope.

    that's my guess...I ran into the same thing

    but I quit doing them altogether...I found more effective moves instead
