So i've been talking to my football coach about how to get bigger, and he tells me that I should join wrestling. I have seen how big wrestlers get, but I am going to play basketball this winter. Does anyone know what they do to train wrestlers?

they make you wrestle, drop weight in unhealthy time spans, and run shitloads every day.

Wrestling in and of itself is a great muscular workout. A guy on here called Chechen does BJJ and doesn't work out at all with weights or anything, but he has a great physique.

eat more and lift heavy with a focus on basic compound movements. this isnt rocket surgery we're dealing with here.

That's like a coach telling you to join the swim team to run faster. If you want to get big, educate yourself, eat more, and lift heavy. If you want to work on your conditioning, get a little stronger, and become a good wrestler, join the wrestling team.

I loved bleachers in high school. what I hated about it was after we finished one side of the football field, we'd have to run across the muddy freshly-watered field to run the other side of the bleachers.

That shit beats running laps any day of the week IMO

we neveer did any bleachers shit cuz it was 'illegal'

edit: cuz it's hot UNDER the bleachers and easier to sweat water weight off.

If you want an out-of-practice workout aside from wrestling, check out Bodyweight Circuits and Barbell Complexes. Ceaze posted an article about them and several other training styles for fighters that I've heard/seen many MMA (bas rutten, couture, etc) fighters swear by. That stuff will whip you into shape like no other, I do it regularly and it still makes me want to throw up by the time I'm done.

are you doing it at school or do you pay for classes?

I'm going to begin in january or feb when I've got enough money and time (taking fewer school hours next semester) and I'm trying to decide between GR wrestling and BJJ... Both are very effective and look fun.... but both also result in balls-in-face action.
