Would learning wrestling along with jujitsu improve my grappling skills?
no, why would you want to be able to bring the fight down to the ground.
There are a couple stud wrestlers at our gym who are really tough to control or do much of anything to, especially in no-gi, with way less BJJ experience than I have.
Same for my gym as well.
Don't waste your time on wrestling.
Just learn to pull guard.
Works for nog.
this is how I survive
I never ever had problems grappling with wrestlers.. jamie varner being the best one I rolled with.. never had much of a problem grappling with them..
maybe it's just my style
how can it hurt?
you're also a brown belt. Most of us are white belts, maybe blue. Not saying wrestlers are impossible or anything like that. They just present a different kind of challenge compared to just BJJ guys.
I think more what some are saying is wrestlers come in and do fairly well with less training due to their previous grappling experience. And thats surprising some of the Cage crew.
come on, man
Definetly want to learn some wrestling moves......especially the take downs...
Ask Optamix I hear he has them
I'll kill you in the face.
My wrestling has improved 10 fold in the last 3 months. Working it 3 times a week FTW.
I want to challenge hughes to a wrestling match.
You will win....
Fuckin right I will.
Are you black if so, you will win.
So have they gone over a single leg with you yet??
I'm scared to fight black people now
They are meaner than I am.
I got that shit on lock.
Have your way with some of Bawlmers Heroin addicts.
Optamix vs Sherk???
He doesn't want any.
Judo background and wrestling background is so awesome in jiu jitsu class.
