    Here's the theme I'm using:

    http://blog.eches.net/themes/langit-another-wordpress-theme-for-public-release/
    (not my site)

    Ok now look in the header on the right, see that ad? It's a 468x60 ad, a common ad size. By default, there is a 468x60 image sitting there.

    In the header.php file, this is the code for that section:

    Code:
    <div id="banner">

                    <img src="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_directory'); ?>/images/banner.gif" alt="banner" />

                </div>
    And that"banner.gif" is the default image.

    So if I want to replace that with 468x60 google ad banner, how do I do it? I tried deleted the <img src... /> section and replacing it with google ad code for a 468x60 ad, but it didn't load and was just blank.

    What is the correct way to get some ad code into there?

    Thanks.

    Are you sure it wasn't just on Google's end?

    all my other google ads appeared immediately. I've had this account and domain forever, I just changed it to WP last night.

    Actually tho I do have another question. If you look at that site, you'll see he also has an adsense block right before the first post on the homepage (http://blog.eches.net/). So it's above the post title, even. Where do I add code to do that?

    I looked through his source code and I found that the adsense block is entered in a section called <div id="c_wrapper" class="clearfix"><div id ="container">

    Yeah when I look through every .php file in Appearance --> edit, that section does not exist.

    Basically he has it set up so that on the home page, there's an adsense block before the first post, but then when you click on a post, there's an adsense block within the post (after the title). I have a plugin that allows me to do the latter, but I also want an ad to appear before the first post on the homepage as well (since my adsense plugin doesn't display ads in articles when you're on the home page... )

    Does that plugin allow you to put ads above the posts on the homepage and in the posts on individual pages?

    Right now I have All in one Adsense and YPN which works well for in posts, but not on the homepage.

    :werd: it does not matter if you had it forever, it can take some time for google ads to appear

    Yeah, you guys were right they're appearing now.

    Now, if someone can tell me how to get that one to appear before the first post on the home page, I will love you forever (unless it's Pepsi, in which case I will just send you an autographed copy of how to pick up a gay rodeo clown).
