the art behind this is intense
the shading on that is sick, sweet tat
very interesting, looks like pastels...wonder how that white will last.
im still in awe, i really wonder what kind of style was used to get that look. really remarkable and i would definately get one like that if i could.
AB got any clue?
the white will hold up fine.
aslong as he takes care of it.
i don't know the name of the "style" but i can tell you what he did.
he didn't line any of the color (like traditional tattoos) and he layered all the colors.
like the artist tattooe'd all the colors he wanted, and then went through after and added the whites and the lighter grays and blues....over the existing colors.
isnt that the way its always done
Its just a non-outlined tattoo really. Not much else to it. The white may hold up, it may not. Some skin takes it good. Sun exposure will make a huge difference on that white.
Beckington - He did nothing different (other than no outline) from what an artist usually does. No special techniques in that one.
so any good artist could reproduce that?
or they could do no outlines at all ..just like a painting.
Pretty much. Most artists use outlines as a guideline (border) but also because of the contrast between black on white skin. It makes the tattoo look sharper. Most tattoos with no outline have a 'fuzzy' kind of look to the edges.
