    I'm reposting my thread from that forum so sorry if it sounds odd. Everyone there sold their 3 and left the forum it looks. :rofl:


    Now here's another question. How do I find an arc in the plug wires if there is one?

    I had a beater when i was 16 that ran like shit and I couldnt figure it out..well one night i popped the hood and you could see the arc coming off the plug wires...changed them and it ran fine...just what happened to me..

    Just replace all four of the wires if you think its arc'ing.

    also you never really said what the car is doing...bad idle, hesitating, stalling out...???

    dude plug wires are going to cost you a total of 20 bucks, better than running the car into the dirt...if that is what you think is wrong fix it and save the car the unnecessary wear and tear.

    i always thought mazda's were good cars.. i wouldn't expect plug wires to be bad... its not a wear item. it just transfers current.

    Idle is perfect. It hesitates from 1500-3500 and more if I'm cruising just and touching the pedal on the highway. If I floor it at 2k it just slugs along until it hits 3500 then I get going. But when I'm cruising it's a bit jumpy.

    A lot of cars have singular distributors on top of the plug. It's not just a wire anymore.

    Could be that one of your coils failed. And how about you actually describe what its doing?

    You could just take the car to AutoZone and have them tell you what code turned the CEL on. :hsugh:

    It was like I was handling porcelain. I didn't pull or tug or rush the job. I took my time and this is kinda why I'm pissed about this.

    First pull the plugs to make sure they aren't being hit by the pistons :mamoru:

    Just buy a little dial at auto zone for a buck.
